Looking to the future

Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace are delighted to announce the appointment of four new Partners and four new Associates at the firm. These recent developments show their commitment to providing a Partner led approach and are reflective of the growth and success the firm continues to enjoy throughout Aberdeen and the North-east.

Managing Partner, Keith Allan said, ‘We know how important it is to be progressive and forward thinking in our business and for this reason we are delighted with our new appointments. We are confident that they will bring valuable additions to the leadership of the firm and further strengthen our legal services across all practice areas’.

Douglas Crombie, Pamela Bursill, Naomi Mearns and Jamie Nixon are now Partners at the firm, and Amy McKay, Teresa Law, Gavin Cooper and Michael Shepherd have been appointed to Associate Solicitor roles.

Douglas Crombie recently returned to the firm after 17 years at Craigens where he was a Partner for 14 years. Douglas brings a wealth of valuable experience, particularly in the areas of private client and property. His extensive client base has remained loyal to him and the firm believe that this alone speaks volumes.

Pamela Bursill has been based at the firm’s Albyn office within the residential property department for many years. Her recent appointment as Partner sees her move to Branch Principal at the firm’s Banchory office. Pamela deals in all aspects of private client and residential property from straightforward purchases and sales to more complex issues which often arise when conveying rural property.

Naomi Mearns joined the firm as Branch Principal at Stonehaven in 2010 and has brought a new lease of life to the office. She knows the local property market inside out and deals in all aspects of residential house purchases and sales, financial services and private client matters including Wills, Executries and Powers of Attorney.

Jamie Nixon joined the firm in 2012 and is now taking on the role of Branch Principal at the firm’s Ellon office. He has made Ellon his home for the last 12 years and has extensive local knowledge and experience having worked at other North-east law firms throughout his career. Jamie deals in all aspects of residential house purchases and sales, financial services and private client matters including Wills, Executries and Powers of Attorney.

All Branch Principles at the firm work alongside specialist teams in Aberdeen and also advise clients on matters involving family law, civil litigation and commercial, corporate and employment law.

Teresa Law joined the firm in 2007 and has specialised in residential property for 15 years. She deals in all aspects of sale, purchase, remortgage and relocation property transactions. Teresa has a sound knowledge of the local property market and is very experienced on current conditions and trends.

Amy McKay has worked in residential conveyancing for 11 years. Alongside sales, purchases, title queries and remortgages, she assists a major oil company with residential leases for their international employees based in Aberdeen.

Michael Shepherd joined the firm in 2010 and specialises in setting up development sites of all sizes for onward plot sales. This includes options, deeds of conditions, section 75 Agreements and deeds of servitude. He also has extensive experience in leasing, security work and corporate support.

Gavin Cooper joined the firm this year from Campbell Connon and with him he brings 12 years of experience in general legal practice serving clients in property sales and purchases, leasing, wills and family law.
