Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace revealed as finalists in the Scottish Legal Awards 2016
Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace are in contention for the Community Contribution of the Year Award in the Scott + Co Scottish Legal Awards 2016. This prestigious awards programme recognises the achievements of individuals, firms and teams across the legal profession in Scotland.
Making a meaningful contribution to the local communities in which it operates is extremely important to the firm. The in-house Charity Committee at Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace, which is made up of partners and staff, works closely with their nominated charity to come up with novel ways to raise money and involve staff, clients and business contacts wherever possible.
Heather Stephen, Partner and Head of the Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace Charity Committee explains: "We always try to nominate a charity which is local and which has a special meaning for our staff and partners. Through community driven initiatives we have an opportunity to give back to the community which supports us as a local business. By giving staff members a chance to give back to their community also helps to instil a sense of achievement in themselves. That is priceless".
The firm's current nominated charity is Sue Ryder at Dee View Court in Aberdeen. From bake days and bacon roll Fridays, to quiz nights and sporting challenges, partners and staff are working together to raise much-needed funds for the purpose-built neurological care centre based in the city.
Heather Stephen comments: 'Our Charity Committee works tirelessly to find new ways to fundraise for our chosen charity. We are always proud to see the results of our efforts and it's encouraging that our events are always well supported by our partners, staff, clients and business contacts".
The Scott + Co Legal Award winners for 2016 will be announced at a black tie dinner on Thursday 24 March at the Assembly Rooms in George Street, Edinburgh.
