Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace (RCC&W), a leading Aberdeen and North-east legal firm, continues to pledge its support to local youth sport by signing a sponsorship deal with Stonehaven Youth Football Club (SYFC). A donation of £600 has provided the 2008 year group team with yellow and black match kits.
The club, consisting of 23 players, is made up of pupils from all three Stonehaven Primary Schools plus children who travel from Laurencekirk and Inverbervie. There are two 7 a-side teams playing at grade B and C football. The pupils train weekly and play at home and away matches every Sunday morning.
Team Coach, Neil Purvis said: “It is very generous of RCC&W to sponsor our squad in this way. Each player having their own personalised kit is something that they can feel proud of and helps build a sense of affinity with their club and team mates.”
RCC&W have a history of supporting youth initiatives across the North-East. This is the third time this academic year that the firm have done so, having sponsored both Banchory Primary Running Club and Banchory Academy Football Team in autumn.
Naomi Mearns, Partner and Stonehaven Branch Principal, commented: “I admire the dedication and hard work of both the players and coaches in clubs such as SYFC and I am delighted to be able to contribute to their development in this way.”
Managing Partner, Keith Allan added: “As a firm we are passionate about initiatives such as this. Our aim each year is to make a positive contribution to the communities in which we work and live.”
