Leading Aberdeen and North-east legal firm Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace (RCC&W) has welcomed three new Solicitors to its Private Client team.
Michael Kusznir and Fiona Mackintosh joined the department at Albyn Place and Gillian Smith has taken a position within the firm’s Banchory Branch. These three new appointments follow that of Annabelle Gow, who joined the department in August last year.
Michael joined the firm from Claphams Solicitors in Clarkston, East Renfrewshire where he has been working for the last two and a half years. Michael has been passionate about Private Client work since university. He is particularly interested in legal rights and social care planning, ensuring clients effectively plan for the future. In addition, Michael has experience in conveyancing, litigation and matrimonial law.
Fiona was previously based at the firm’s Stonehaven Branch for three years. She has now joined the Albyn Place Office and will be supporting clients with a range of Private Client matters such as Wills, Powers of Attorney and Executry administration. In addition, Fiona has experience in conveyancing.
Gillian will also focus on advising clients on matters such as Wills, Powers of Attorney and Trusts. Gillian’s previous experience includes the purchase, sale and leasing of residential properties. Having lived in the Banchory area for 20 years, Gillian is well placed to develop lasting client relationships which are so important in a rural community, within the framework of a larger local firm.
In June last year the department successfully gained Employer Partner accreditation with the STEP Employer Partnership Programme. STEP is the global professional association for practitioners who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning. This accreditation means that STEP recognises the firm’s commitment to providing full training and to fostering a positive learning environment for staff. Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace is one of only a small number of firms in Scotland to have received this accreditation.
Head of the Private Client Department, Douglas Crombie, said: “This follows a period of continued success for the department. I am delighted our team has been strengthened by the addition of these three new Solicitors. Michael, Fiona and Gillian bring a range of different skills and experience with them and I am confident that the department, the firm and, in particular, our clients will benefit greatly from these new appointments.”
