This week’s property feature is focusing on properties in the Banchory area. Banchory is the main town serving an area within Deeside, and is seen at the gateway to Royal Deeside. It is approximately 18 miles west of Aberdeen and has many amenities including two primary schools, secondary schooling at Banchory Academy, GP and dental surgeries, two supermarkets and a petrol station and a range of independent shops, cafes, pubs and hotels. The recently developed sports centre provides a range of activities including swimming, and the local area is well served for outdoor recreation thanks to the Rivers Dee and Feugh, and the beautiful local countryside offer walking, golfing, biking and equestrian pursuits to name but a few. The area is surrounded by many attractive small village and hamlets offering a variety of accommodation.
