Period Properties
This week’s property feature focuses on period properties here in the north-east. Period properties tend to feature interesting architectural details, including pitch pine and or decorative woodwork, fireplaces, attractive plasterwork, large rooms with high ceilings and interesting windows. Period properties don’t have to be enormous, within the north east this includes interesting converted properties, that could be a subsection of a much larger house, as well as double uppers and cosy cottages. Although designed for a different era these homes can provide welcoming and adaptable space for modern living and have the added charm of their history.
