Collaborative Family Law is a method of Dispute Resolution which allows everyone involved together with their solicitors and other collaboratively trained professionals to create a solution tailored to the needs of their family.

Collaborative Law presents opportunities for a holistic approach and our extensive experience in this field has shown the positive results that can be achieved when this process is used.

The process involves discussion and negotiation taking place in “four-way” meetings with both parties and their solicitors present and correspondence is kept to a minimum. In Collaborative Law, all parties agree to negotiate in good faith in order to resolve issues amicably without the threat of Court action. This method of resolution can be used to assist you in any Family Law matter.

Our team have had extensive training in the practice of Collaborative Law and can offer a sympathetic but pragmatic approach.

Fiona Coutts and Faye Donald are all experienced in the Collaborative Process and have practised in this field for a number of years.

To help you at this time we are able to offer an initial fixed fee Family Law  package  which includes  a consultation with one of our solicitors  for up to one hour, to discuss your particular situation and provide advice on the best way forward for you, together with a written summary of our advice. The fee for this package is  £250 plus VAT at 20% plus a £4 fee for the cost of an online  client ID check.  You will be under no obligation to instruct us to do anything more following that consultation,  but if you do choose to instruct us further, we will explain what the costs of your case might be.

To find out more about Collaboration and whether it is right for you, please contact a member of the Family Law Team.
