Where are you from?

I am from Cambuslang in Glasgow

Where you did study/what’s your career background?

I studied at Strathclyde University in Glasgow, and went on to graduate from the Glasgow school of Law. I then trained at property and legal service firm, Stewart & Watson based up north in Peterhead. It was here that I was made Partner in charge at their Fraserburgh office and later moved to RCCW.

Why did you apply to RCCW?

I was approached by RCCW’s then Managing Partner, Keith Allan who offered me the chance to take over the Ellon office from Graham Robertson who was then retiring. I lived in Ellon at the time and always had the highest regard for Graham and RCCW and therefore took on the role with no hesitations.

What department(s) do/have you worked across?

I am based in the Residential Property department and also deal with Private Client matters.

How would you describe a typical day/your experience at RCCW to date?

Day to day life at RCCW always keeps me busy, yet it remains an enjoyable work environment to be in. Dealing with different tasks each day allows for variety within my work keeping it exciting yet challenging providing several opportunities for personal and professional development.

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to pursue a career within a law firm?

Pursuing a career in law provides a world of opportunities and never ending chances to develop a wider skill set. No two days are the same and the constant interaction with new people has provided me with a dynamic work life. Being in the law industry can not only offer a great sense of personal fulfilment and satisfaction, but being able to assist clients in providing them the best possible solution can be extremely rewarding.

What do you like most about working at RCCW?

For me, RCCW is all about the people. As I had the opportunity to know staff prior to joining, I was lucky enough to have gained an insight into the people that make the firm all that it is. Across my time at here, I have had the pleasure of working alongside excellent professionals and fantastic characters. In my opinion, RCCW is the best firm to work for!
