Where are you from?

 Aberdeen but grew up in an area of Laurencekirk.

Where you did study/what’s your career background?

I went to Mearns Academy then Robert Gordon University directly from school where i first completed a Bachelors degree in Law and Business Management, before transferring to the Law LLB course. I then progressed on to the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice. I completed my traineeship with a small high street firm in the area of Keith, before qualifying and joining RCCW.

Why did you apply to RCCW?

I wanted to come back home, and believed the firm’s ethos largely reflacts that of my own professional ethos. The core values of RCCW are ones i consider to be important:

How would you describe a typical day/your experience at RCCW to date?

No day is ever the same, largely due to the nature of my work. There is a great exposure to varied works which you are supported through by colleagues and the wealth of knowledge they have between them.

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to pursue a career within a law firm?

Receptionists, Secretaries and Admin support staff will be your saviours- treat them well.

What do you like most about working at RCCW?

We are a team, and we look after each other.
